We will slide into conversations about work, creativity, and the art of storytelling.
meet your hosts...
ELISE SIEVERT
Elise has a competitive edge with her midwest work ethic (born and raised in Lincoln, NE), her discipline as a professional dancer, and her burning desire to tell stories. So much so, that when auditions are sparse she get her hands dirty behind the camera (writing, directing, producing, editing). She believes that we are all creative beings, who need to create. So a podcast was born called “Nothing Shines Like Dirt” to help inspire others to pick up a pen, camera, and/or instrument to express themselves. Her short film FALL REPEAT about what a dancer will compromise for the sake of ambition is surviving the film festival circuit. She studies with Bob Krakower (Master Class), Larry Moss, Scott Freeman and also works with the lovely and talented Lesly Kahn in LA. She loves to talk about her two Havanese pups (Chubbs and Arlo), and delicious food to eat in NYC. www.EliseSievert.com

LESLEY SHANNON
Meet Lesley Shannon, a Mississippi born actress, singer, writer, and producer. She may look like Patricia Clarkson, Julianne Moore, and Meryl Streep had a love child but is not related to any of these wonderful women. She is likely to be cast as an uptight stickler or the quirky love interest but is more accurately like Kimmy Schmidt with the mouth of a sailor. She studied music at the University of Southern Mississippi, and then moved to the big Apple to attend Stella Adler Studio of Acting. She can be seen in such TV shows as Six Degrees of Murder and The Haunting of Kesha, realizing her pigmentally challenged potential as a ghost. She is proud to be one of the founding members of Secondhand Theatre Company and wrote and starred in a mini musical short called Awesome Day, about a terrible day(clever right)! She loves creating comedic films as a way to bring insight to the human condition and help folks to confront topics they would otherwise not consider. She also has an obsession with furry,or not so furry things, that are cute. She is beyond honored to be a co-host of Nothing Shines Like Dirt and the Queen of the world.
